The first thing you need to do is check if the employer allows any attached files in the application!
Application via account
If you apply through an account, the application form is divided into different steps. If attached files are allowed, there will be a step called "Attach files":
If attached files are allowed, there are a couple of things you need to consider, such as the file size and format.
Allowed file formats:
pdf
doc
docx
png
jpg
jpeg
gif
bmp
txt
rtf
File sizes:
You can upload a maximum of 25 files
Each file must not be larger than 4MB
In total, the files must not exceed 10MB.
If the employer does not allow you to attach any files, it will be clearly stated!
Application without an account
If you apply without an account, the application form has a slightly different layout, but there is also a section called "Attached files":
Here too, there are a maximum of 3 buttons for three different file types: CV, cover letter, and other attached file.
Allowed file formats are the same:
pdf
doc
docx
png
jpg
jpeg
gif
bmp
txt
rtf
The file sizes differ a little:
You can upload one file per button/type at most, so one CV, one cover letter, and one other document.
All uploaded files must not exceed a total of 5MB.
Image
Sometimes it's nice to attach a picture of yourself with your application! If you apply through your account, you can add a picture to your account, which will automatically be included in the applications you send from the account. You can also add a picture directly in the application form, and you do this during the "Personal Information" step.
Say cheese! πΈ
