We understand your concern, but unfortunately, these statuses are unrelated to the recruitment process πŸ˜₯

They instead indicate the stage of your application!

Commenced

You've begun filling out your application but haven't submitted it.

Applied

Your application has been submitted and has been received by the employer - yay! 😍

Withdrawn by the candidate

You've chosen to withdraw your application. The employer will see that you applied and then withdrew the application, but they can't handle it any further. Only withdraw your application if you're no longer interested in the recruitment!

Withdrawn by employer

The employer has marked the application as withdrawn on their end. Not all employers use this functionality, and it should only be used to help you withdraw an application when you've made a request to the employer. If you see this status and haven't contacted the employer about withdrawal, reach out to them directly to clarify!

Deleted

An application with this status has been removed - deleted! This usually happens when the employer cleans up their account, removing data that isn't needed any more to comply with GDPR. The frequency of deletion varies, but it's typically done 24-36 months after the recruitment is terminated.
